Change of scale: Decision made!

After considering a change of scale for the past few days I've decided............................ to stick to 1/72nd . Although the 10mm minis are very nice I couldn't really justify 'starting again'. Instead I've decided to stick to my original 1/72nd figs but to try and move over to larger scale gaming rather than skirmishing games.
I'm also going to have a crack at writing my own WWII rule set based around 'Blitzkrieg Commander' or what I know of it.... which isn't a lot to be honest. Anyway, for now I'll carry on painting up the boxes of Valiant figures I have lying around and possibly try and get hold of some Armourfast kits to get a vehicle collection underway.

  1. Good luck Steve! I've only done a few kits so far but they've been Armourfast and I find them fun...Not too many fiddly little bits for a beginner like me. Though I dare say you don't have the same worry. Look forward to see what you get up to next.

  2. Cheers. I'm a big fan of the Armourfast kits. They're easy to build and make really sturdy models for the tabletop.

  3. Have fun with 20mm!

It's a really nice scale with a lot of good kits and figures. I've been loving this scale for the last ten or fifteen years though.

Consider the kits of Plastic Soldier Company. They look really great and offer more details than the Armourfast kits. Additionally Italeri makes some nice quick assembly things for wargamers...

    Good luck!
