When there's just not enough hours in the day!

I thought I'd better keep the blog updated as to where I'm currently at with my WWII skirmish project as it's been a little while since I posted anything!

The past few weeks have been mega busy as I have recently gone back to self employment as a carpet fitter. Luckily I've been kept really busy so musn't complain after what was a terrible year last year.

I've also been steadily plodding on with my house refurbishment and I'm almost done on both our bathroom and one of our bedrooms. ... All very boring but there is a cunning ploy to all this DIY as I've talked my wife into letting me crack on with my loft conversion once the other two rooms are complete ..... Needless to say this will be 'my space'! and eventually will become my wargames room.

As far as painting goes I've done very, very little but hope to crack on this coming week and should have a couple of small skirmish forces ready very soon.

I've also been looking at the FUBAR rule system ... Looks simple and very interesting. I'd love to hear the views of anyone who's tried these so please feel free to leave any comments.

More figure pics coming up just as soon as I can get them finished and photographed..... Stay tuned.

  1. I would get a fair bit of terrain on the table.

For the most part troops need a 5 or 6 to hit.
Putting troops in soft cover changes that to a 6 to hit.

It is best played solo or with players that are not rules junkies.
The rules are too vague and too simple for people that love rules to cover every possible occurence.

That said you should be ok with them.
